How the math works

Concentration = vial mg ÷ BAC water mL. Dose volume = dose mg ÷ concentration. Syringe units = volume mL × 100 (U-100) or × 40 (U-40). The calculator above runs this entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.

FAQs

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9 % benzyl alcohol used to dissolve a lyophilised peptide vial. The amount you add controls the concentration. Always follow the storage and handling instructions from the pharmacy that supplied the product.

A U-100 syringe has 100 units per millilitre. A U-40 syringe has 40 units per mL. The dose volume in mL is the same in both — the unit count differs because the markings count differently.
